Folding Shave Horse
This compact and convenient folding shave horse is the backbone of my furniture mking business. I use it to make my green wood furniture, and on my furniture courses. This is an extremely versatile and portable horse. It can be set up and folded away in a matter of seconds, is fully adjustable to all leg lengths and tucks comfortably under one arm. It can be hung on the wall, taking virtually no room in your shed or workshop. A very useful and convenient tool. The kit comes complete with detailed step-by-step instructions, and all the parts necessary. Construction will take approximately two hours. You will need a few simple tools.
We have just added the Spoon Mule attachment as an optional extra. This makes it easy to securely grip small items like spoons, or thin laths on edge.
To make your shave horse suitable for children of any age you can add on the extra child’s footrest which slides over the swinging arm. This means a child can use this horse without any need for you to brace the swinging arm for him or her. (If you are adding the child’s footrest to your order just choose the “collected from workshop” option. We will add it to your parcel for no extra charge.)
(If you wish to hang your shave horse on the wall, to save space, we have developed a neat little hanging device. If you are adding the hanger to your order just choose the “collected from workshop” option. We will add it to your parcel for no extra charge.)
